Apple will update its entire line of iOS devices with the new miniaturized Dock connector this fall – So we’ve all seen the rumours that the new iPhone will have an updated dock connector, but now the rumour mill is saying that along with the iPhone being refreshed, the entire iOS device line will receive the new dock connector at their September 12th (Rumoured) event. Apple is said to be prepping new iPods, a new iPhone and even an updated New iPad with some fixes to their overheating issues.
Apple Just Removed The Default YouTube App From Latest iOS 6 Beta – Apple is not happy with Google, in fact in the recently released iOS 6 Beta the YouTube app has been removed from the default installation. The YouTube app has been part of iOS since the very first iPhone. Google is reported to be working on a YouTube app, but for now, come September, there will be even less connecting Apple and Google.
Nokia to Debut New Windows Phone 8 Devices Ahead of iPhone 5 – Around a week before the new iPhone’s ‘launch’ date Nokia will have their annual Nokia World event in Helsinki in Finland. Nokia’s timing on this couldn’t be any better, getting in on the mind share before Apple totally dominates should give Nokia at least 7 days of news coverage. Let’s hope Nokia World brings some good news for the Espoo based company.
Qualcomm demos touch-free gesture control for tablets powered by Snapdragon – Qualcomm has been busy uploading videos to that showcase gesture technology in tablets using their Snapdragon processors. With a front-facing camera, users are able to control onscreen avatars, page through recipes, setup profiles and even wake tablets with simple hand or head movements.
