Apple pays for iPad, Retina MacBooks struggle, iPads to go IGZO and Nike calls ‘Game On’.

  1. Apple pays $60 million in iPad trademark dispute, makes peace with Proview – Apple has relented and paid $60mil for the right to use the name iPad in China. Even thought hey officially has bought worldwide rights to the trademark earlier.
  2. Retina MacBook Pro Pushes the Limits of its Graphics Capabilities - Anandtech takes a look at how all of those pixels are taxing the MacBook Pros hardware and concludes that it may even be too much fo the hardware to handle effectively.
  3. A New, Thinner IGZO iPad Later This Summer [Rumor] - Apparently a Chinese newspaper is claiming that Apple will release an updated slimmer iPad in September using displays with Sharp’s new IGZO technology allowing the iPad to be thinner and more energy efficient. I doubt this will be used on the current generation of iPads but more that likely on a refreshed iPad 4th Gen.
