Nokia Lumia 900 launches in SA, Apple and Liquidmetal still in bed together, BlackBerry 10 hands on and Google and Apple spy planes under inspection.
- Nokia Lumia 900 launched in SA - The Nokia Lumia 900 with its 4.3″ ClearBlack AMOLED display is scheduled to arrive in SA on 28 June 2012 from MTN. Looking like a bigger Nokia Lumia 800 but packed with a bigger battery and faster connection speeds, the Lumia 900 looks to be a fantastic phone.
- Apple and Liquidmetal hug it out, lengthen their pact until 2014 – Apple and best buds Liquid Metal tie the knot for the next 2 years extending their relationship.
- BlackBerry 10 hands-on – Engadget gets a sneak peak from RIM at the BlackBerry 10 OS that they are betting the farm on. From where I sit it looks very nice I just hope that RIM stays in business long enough to put these devices into consumers hands. More players has never hurt any market especially not the mobile industry.
- Google, Apple “military-grade spy planes” under scrutiny – It was a matter of time before the US government started to look at the fleet of planes and drones that Apple and Google have been using to create their 3D maps. They are siting privacy concerns (and rightly so) and it will be interesting to see how this pans out in the next few months.
